Advanced Practice Provider – Neurohospitalist – PRN

Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurohospitalist team. This is a PRN position working variable shifts as needed. The shifts are 8 hour shifts M-F. This position will need to be available to work at least 3 shifts a month at various Piedmont locations (Atlanta, Fayette, and Henry).

In this role you will:

• Follow up with current general neurology and stroke patients.
• Triage new patients prior to being seen by doctor.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient’s medical record.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

2-3 years of neurology, neurohospitalist or hospital based experience

Minimum Qualifications

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
