Position Summary:

CV Holding (Heart and Vascular Pre/Post) - Denver Metro

13 Week Travel Assignment

Full Time

Monday to Friday

 

Unit Description:

 The Heart and Vascular Pre/Post unit supports both inpatients and outpatients from Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, and Bronchoscopy Labs, and focuses on continuity of care for patients undergoing invasive procedures. This includes preparation for procedures as well as post-procedure assessment, monitoring and discharge. Anesthesia and moderate sedation recovery phase of care experience required.  This fast paced unit also expands to care for overnight post-procedure and med/surg inpatient population.

 

Position Requirements:
America Heart Association BLS, ACLS and CO RN License or Compact License.

Pre-op/PACU, Progressive Care and/or ICU experience required. Anesthesia and moderate sedation recovery phase of care experience also required.

 

Education:
Bachelors degree nursing is preferred

Job Duties:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
