Primary Responsibilities Collaborates and works closely with supervisors regarding medical physics support for radiation treatments. Responsible for all quality control relative to treatment equipment, calibration devices, and general personnel and employee safety. Essential Functions Interacts with technical staff on a daily basis to ensure quality and service consistent with patient care.Supervises dose computations manually or computer-generated for individual treatment plan.Responsible for full testing of all new equipment.Establishes and carries out programs in dosimetry and maintenance of operational parameters of all treatment machines. with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Masters Science Preferred Additional Training Requirements It is preferred that the candidate have an advanced degree (Masters in Science) in Medical Physics and Health Physics.
American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification
Experience Requirements Training in Stereotactic Radiotherapy / Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy / IMRT is desirable. Must have been trained in Therapeutic Radiology.
