QualificationsMSN with NP specialty.

CA RN and NP.

National NP certification in specialty.
Working knowledge of Geriatrics and care of Geriatric patients.
Ability to perform primary care responsibilities according to the Standardized Procedures for Nurse Practitioners as developed by the UCLA Division of Geriatrics and in accordance with policies.
Working knowledge of interdisciplinary and community-based resources needed to coordinate patient care and facilitate referral.
Ability to assess psychosocial needs of patient/family/conservator/caregiver in a culturally diverse environment.

Knowledge of assessment and treatment of dementia, including psychological, behavioral, and medical aspects Ability to monitor, evaluate and improve dementia care.
Ability to provide education about dementia to patients and their families.
Ability to assist in teaching programs for Physicians-in-Training and Nurse Practitioner Knowledge of advance directives, procedures, and written and verbal instructions

Skill in working independently and following through with minimal direction.
Working knowledge of billing, particularly for incident to billing
Ability to administer clinical dementia assessments and dementia rating instruments.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team structure.
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred

NPII- greater than 6 months
