Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomatology and life threatening medical problems.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of cancer treatment specific to Breast Cancer.
Ability to take vital signs such as weight, height, blood pressure and pulse.
Working knowledge of general medical and laboratory procedures.
Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling Biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments.
Knowledge of MSDS and emergency treatments.
Ability to organize tasks to facilitate smooth work and patient flow.
Ability to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflow.
Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures such as, but not limited to Punch Biopsy’s and Cyst aspirations.
Minimum of two years’ experience as medical assistant in a physician office, and or medical facility.
Must have documentation of a medical assistant program diploma or completion of the California Medical Assistant Certificate exam.
Current CPR certification through the Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Ability to travel to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Westwood locations for patient care and provider support as needed.
