Havasu Regional Medical Center
Under the supervision of the Quality Director, directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. This position has responsibility for the implementation and review of the facility‘s infection prevention program for Havasu Regional Medical Center and its entirety. The role ensures compliance with departmental and administrative policies and procedures; ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, local, state and federal regulatory agencies; develops/monitors quality improvement programs,; participation in interdepartmental Quality Management; attends hospital and community meetings as appropriate, serves on various committees; develops, implements, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures for departmental services to ensure safety and reduction in infections. This person is responsible for dissemination of infection prevention information, including surveillance data and provides education.
Bachelor’s degree Required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: CIC (Certification in Infection Control ) within 2 years
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Requires a current RN license (AZ or compact state) OR Public Health (MPH) OR certified medical technologist OR a bachelor's degree in microbiology or epidemiology.
