Responsibilities

Job Location:  Villanova, PA 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The duties of the Clinical Coordinator center on maintaining a pleasant and efficient office for patients, staff and physicians.  This includes coordinating daily operations to assure that emphasis is placed on keeping the work flow of the office running smoothly through efficient handling of all issues.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluate utilization of clinical office time for physicians and work closely with the Operations Manager with any necessary adjustments.
  • Look for opportunities to improved efficiencies, expand services etc.
  • Consistent communication with satellite office staff
  • Work closely with the hospital Trauma program staff and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
  • OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to Essential Functions:
  • Review and approve the ordering of office supplies.
  • Monitor Patient Satisfaction scores for the Acute Care Surgery Division and develop action plans to achieve target levels.
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily activity of all clinical office activities
  • Provide coverage to Front Desk staff, including but not limited to surgery and diagnostic test scheduling, patient appointments, etc.
  • Attend and successfully complete IDX and EMR (Electronic Medical Record)
  • Remain proficient and knowledgeable within IDX and the EMR – attend JUP update training sessions.
  • Consistently work within the JUP quality standards in IDX and the EMR
  • Utilize and remain current with the tasking function of the EMR
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
  • Ensure all MD’s are completely utilizing EMR provide support to address issues.
  • Enter all physician call schedules on line and communicate changes
  • Schedule business travel for conferences Submit travel and expenses reimbursement
  • Renew medical licenses and DEA’s (tickler calendar for upcoming expiration dates to avoid any lapse in licensures)

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required
