Education
Undergraduate (BA or BS) degree, minimum. Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree, preferred. Minimum 4 units (2 advanced, including level II CPE) Clinical Pastoral Education in an accredited CPE program in an acute medical care setting.

Experience
One (1) year pastoral experience required, two (2) year pastoral experience, preferred.

Certification & Licensures
Certification (or certification eligible with certification to be completed within 3 years of hire date) as Board Certified Chaplain with continuing education requirements current, in the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or equivalent.

Qualifications
Thorough understanding of the spiritual needs of patients and their families, from the very young to the elderly, in high stress, critical and traumatic illness and injury situations, including death and bereavement.
