Supervises and coordinates activities of Blood Bank and related blood banking operations. Provides technical expertise to lab staff and physicians. Ensures technical and operational goals of section are met.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Medical technology or Biological Sciences required. Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet CLIA requirements for Technical Supervisor in a high complexity, immunohematology laboratory.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:
MT (ASCP), BB (ASCP), SBB (ASCP), or MT (HEW) Certification desirable.
