Job Summary

About This Opportunity: The Physician Assistant will assist the ED physicians in evaluating and treating patients with diagnoses that include, but are not limited to, orthopedics, general surgery, and pediatrics. Preferred candidates will have the ability to handle fast pace, high volume of patients; minimum of two years experience in emergency medicine is preferred, but we will consider new graduates with excellent credentials. About the Emergency Department: 700+ bed tertiary care facility located in West Reading, One of Pennsylvania's busiest EDs with 50+ physicians; 35+ Advanced Practitioners, treating over 125,000+ patients annually; patient load of 1.4-2.0 per hour; Pediatric and Adult Fast Tract; 84 specialty and multi-purpose treatment rooms plus 24-bed Observation Unit; Emergency Residency Program planned for the near future; Recently received two Press Ganey awards for improved patient satisfaction - Overall Satisfaction Likelihood of Patients Recommending Hospital. Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with current NCCPA certification and hold and maintain a current Pennsylvania license as a medical physician assistant. Prior experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is desired, but not required.
